Erasmus+ Update: ESG Results Presented in Mannheim
Our project "Values Based ESG Business Model Innovation" has reached an important milestone. On 18 September 2026, partners, stakeholders and interested guests came together in Mannheim to present the results of two years of joint work.
As part of our Erasmus+ project (ESG Align, KA210-VET-986B40C6), Starkmacher Impact GmbH hosted a dissemination event in Mannheim, Germany, together with the project partners and Next Mannheim as host at the Altes Volksbad, creative business. The conference was held in a hybrid format, combining an on-site audience with live online participation, and was framed by one guiding question: "ESG Business Model Innovation, Burden or Opportunity?"
A morning of results and dialogue
The half day programme moved from institutional context through strategy and practice to methodology, a concrete business case and an open panel debate. Frank Jungmann and Tom Woschitz (Next Mannheim) opened the event; Matthias Henel (Wirtschafts- und Strukturförderung Mannheim) presented the social economy as a strategic field of economic development; and Dr. Markus Ressl, Frank Jungmann, Dr. Tibor Hejj and Jean-Marc Ziadé introduced the project’s ESG Business Model Innovation method and tools. Elisabetta Rossi and Lorentsa Panova illustrated the approach with the business case of AGÁTA Rösterei & Café, before a panel discussion brought together perspectives on the challenges, risks and opportunities of the sustainability megatrend. Frank Jungmann closed the morning by presenting the ESG Business Model Innovation Handbook and further project resources.
Strong international reach
The hybrid format proved its value. The event welcomed 15 participants on site, including the internal and external project team, together with 31 online participants from three continents and at least nine countries; a reach that confirms how much ESG topics benefit from broad, cross-border dialogue.
This event marked the final official dissemination event of our Erasmus+ project, concluding a series of project meetings held in the Netherlands (Mariënkroon), Austria (Vienna) and Hungary (Budapest). We thank all partners, speakers and participants for their valuable contributions.
All results of our Erasmus+ project, including the ESG Business Model Innovation Handbook, are available on our project website.
*This project is co-financed with the support of the European Union within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme.
