Acting together: Solar systems for schools in Amman, Jordan

Dear supporters,

The Christmas season invites us to give hope and make sustainable change possible. With our project "Strengthening Access to Education through Renewable Energies in Jordan", we are starting exactly where support is urgently needed: by promoting school education and renewable energies in Jordan – and you can contribute to this.

Why this project?

Jordan is facing enormous challenges. As a place of refuge for numerous refugees, especially from Syria, the country is under a lot of social and economic strain. Schools are particularly affected: there is often a lack of sufficient financial resources to ensure a stable energy supply, appropriate learning environments and modern training opportunities. This significantly restricts the educational opportunities of many children.

Our solution

With our project, we are equipping 37 schools and Caritas Social Centers in Amman and other cities in Jordan with solar systems. These systems on the school roofs:

  • Provide a sustainable source of energy: Schools reduce their dependence on fossil fuels and save 420 tons of CO₂ annually.
  • Reduce operating costs: The savings allow schools to invest in building maintenance, air conditioning and learning materials.
  • Create jobs: Refugees take on important tasks such as cleaning and maintaining the facilities.

A first success: we have already secured €55,000 for the project, thanks to generous support from international companies and private individuals. But in order to fully finance the first phase of the project, we need a total of €275,000. Every contribution counts to achieve this goal.

How you can help

There are several ways to get involved in our project and make a positive contribution:

  • Small donations via Betterplace:
Every donation makes a difference! Via the Betterplace platform, you can make a big contribution to achieving our goal with small amounts. Your support helps us to provide schools in Amman with a reliable source of energy and to strengthen education in the long term.

Donate now on Betterplace and receive a donation receipt – just visit the following
    Link.

  • Impact loans with coffee interest via Social Plus Coffee:
For sustainable investors, our impact loan offers an attractive opportunity: You benefit from guaranteed interest from coffee production and at the same time support education and energy projects in Jordan. This innovative form of financing combines economic profit with social added value. You can find more information and the opportunity to invest hier.

  • Starkmacher Impact Giving Fund:
Companies in particular can make a long-term difference with large donations through our Starkmacher Impact Giving Fund. Your CSR donation will be reinvested specifically in social projects in Jordan to promote sustainable change. With your support, we not only create short-term help, but also lay the foundation for lasting solutions. Further details and the possibility to donate can be found hier.

Together we achieve more

No matter how you decide to help, your support counts! Together, we create better learning conditions, promote sustainable energy and enable children in Jordan to have a better future.

Thank you for being part of this important initiative!
