GREEN COOKING
Solar-Powered Clean Cooking for Schools
A Green Belt Across Sub-Saharan Africa
Why We Set up GreenCooking
Across Sub-Saharan Africa, over 90% of our partner schools cook meals for thousands of students using firewood and charcoal. This strains budgets, fills kitchens with smoke, and depletes nearby forests. GreenCooking exists to change that. Starkmacher Impact Africa is a registered Delivery Partner of SEforALL's Clean Cooking programme
A Holistic, Self-Sustaining Model
Solar power replaces the firewood entirely — and then goes further, lighting classrooms, running water pumps, and ending dependence on imported diesel. Schools repay the cost through our SMIRF revolving fund, using the energy expenses they no longer pay. As each school repays, that capital funds the next one — a snowball reaching toward 500 schools across 9 countries by 2030.

Support GreenCooking
Phase 1 is already live. Scaling GreenCooking to 500 schools across 9 countries by 2030 will take an estimated USD 18,544,355 — and it starts with support like yours. Because repaid capital automatically funds the next school, your gift keeps working long after you give it. A one-time gift helps launch a new school; a recurring gift keeps the fund growing, school after school. Both channels route your gift straight through to Starkmacher Impact Africa on the ground — Sinngeber and TrustBridge simply handle secure, tax-efficient processing in Germany and internationally.
